A first-person shooting game known as Call of Duty or COD: Vanguard was made by Sledgehammer Games and released by Activision in 2021. On November 5, it became available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. It is the series' 18th overall entry in the COD franchise. To combat a new danger near the war's conclusion in multiple World War II theatres, Vanguard constructs a plot centred on the creation of special troops.
Critics gave the game mixed reviews, praising the multiplayer and narrative while criticizing the Zombies mode, historical mistakes, and lack of creativity. Compared to previous instalments, it was thought to be a commercial failure.
The developer of COD: Vanguard, Sledgehammer Games, also worked on COD: WW2 and cod: Advanced Warfare. Although the game covers only the Western Front, it is set throughout the Second Great War.
Instead, Vanguard allows players to join the Eastern, Western European, North African, and South Pacific fronts.
Activision made Vanguard's 20 multiplayer maps available as soon as the game was online.
Warzone is free to play COD Battle Royale game in the COD franchise. It is a standalone instalment; thus, you may play it without buying any previous COD games. But it's included in several of the series' games, including Cold War Black Ops and the recent Vanguard.
Zombies mode links directly to the story of Dark Aether and the Black Ops universe.
After the release in November 2021, Vanguard became a severe title. The Vanguard community proliferated after unfavourable reviews and several odd choices by the game developers. In addition, due to the game's WWII theme and the release of Modern Warfare II, many players are prepared to give up on the game entirely.
Regaining Activision's preference for playing such numbers with severe agony is difficult. However, although there is no way to verify a precise Vanguard player count, an informed estimation can be created based on the facts. Additionally, the public audience is crucial in the overall gaming event and the number of players using the platform to play the game.
The best-selling and most popular game in 2021, according to research published in 2022, was COD Vanguard. Even if it was not considered a decent game, there were many unfavourable reviews. COD will be among the best-selling and top games of the year when it comes to most popular games, mainly because it is a well-known brand that people trust. Long after launch, the COD Vanguard player count started to decline; in actuality, it never recovered.
According to a conference report from April 2022, the number of people who requested calling duty had decreased by over 50 million in one year. On the opposite side of the coin, COD Warzone, Activision's epic battle royale game, saw a sharp fall in popularity, leading many to wonder if Warzone was on the verge of extinction. On the other side, COD Vanguard's multiplayer component infuriated thousands of fans. There were worries about how the iconic performance would affect the COD League, but how well did it actually perform?
Players never really rushed to the platform again despite the frequent flurry of upgrades, including new Vanguard modes, maps, and weaponry. When ranked multiplayer options were launched, there was a momentary reprieve but a brief revival. Players appeared to have problems with way too many platform features right after the game launched. Nothing seemed to work well for the game, from the Vanguard weaponry to the SBMM mechanisms, from the glitches to the theme.
While it's challenging to determine an actual figure for the number of Vanguard players, several sites have made an effort to do so. For instance, according to playercounter.com, the Vanguard platform is expected to have over 12,000 active players as of July 2022. On the opposite end of the scale, the aggregator website mmo-population.com claims that the maximum daily player concurrency on COD Vanguard, across all forms, is roughly 2,000.
Assessing Call of Duty Vanguard's societal impact reveals a similarly disappointing story. TwitchTracker.com has only 2,548 concurrent users every seven days, whereas 534 channels stream on average daily. It can be observed that the older title outperforms the most recent entry in the COD franchise when compared to 2019's Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
Regardless of that information, it is undeniable that COD Vanguard's player base is rapidly approaching zero. As a result, following the conclusion of the COD League Championship, the Vanguard platform will be deserted.
31% of Vanguard players fall into the 25 to 34 age bracket. Less than 25-year-olds make up one-fourth of the population. Additionally, a sizable portion of the population is older than 18. 23% are above 45, and 21% are in the 35 to 44 age range.
COD Vanguard currently has 171 live channels and 587 live viewers.
Vanguard has 15,056 peak channels and 328,242 viewers (November 5, 2021).
Call of Duty Vanguard reached 106 rank on Twitch.
The average number of Twitch channels streaming Call of Duty Vanguard is 771.
In 2020, Call of Duty Vanguard sold fewer copies than COD Black Ops.
According to Activision Blizzard's financial figures for the final three months of 2021 and the entire year, Vanguard, the recent Call of Duty game from Sledgehammer Games, did not do as well Treyarch's Black Ops: Cold War from the year before.
Activision's Vanguard release wasn't exactly a smashing success. Even though it was the most popular game of 2021, sales were down 36.1% from COD Black Ops in 2020. As a result, Activision is breaking with Call of Duty's yearly release cycle by delaying Treyarch's 2023 entry until 2024 due to the game's poor sales.
Activision Blizzard also disclosed a reduction in net bookings on PC and console platforms, in addition to the revelation that COD Vanguard sold less year over year than Black Ops did in 2020. Additionally, activity in Warzone was lower than it was in 2020.
Despite these drops, in-game spending was still more significant than before Warzone's March 2020 release. In addition, the popularity of COD Mobile, a game in which gamers spent over $1 billion, was also covered in the new study.
The game is $73.27 on Xbox Series X/S and $85.49 on PlayStation 5.
· The damage statistics for the Damage Profile are shown as "Regular | Vital" damage. For example, with a headshot, you typically deliver vital damage; however, it may be expanded to include more of the body with some weapons (like the 3-Line Rifle) and some attachments (like the Vital Proficiency attachment).
· Before damage reduction, body rounds within the weapon's effective range are used to generate the Time-To-Kill statistics. As a result, in actual gameplay, this rating might either go up (if you make one or more headshots) or down (If you use the weapon beyond its practical range, miss, or land limb shots).
· Go to the Gunsmith, select an attachment, and then press "2" on your keypad, R2 or RT on a console, to display a gun's complete stats in-game. Using the in-game metrics, you can check exactly how the numbers change with every attachment.
· Vanguard has more attachments than preceding Call of Duty (COD) games, and these attachments can modify a weapon's damage profile and possible time to kill. These differences are too many to detail here, so keep in your mind that the stat tables only include the base guns without attachments, and it's highly recommended to play with the assortment of attachments available for each weapon.
